I don’t think anti social justice people who complain about the use of the word trigger on this site have literally ever spoken to a doctor or a therapist or literally anyone in the medical profession at all because I’ve never seen the word trigger used more liberally than it’s used by them like

Things that doctors have used the word trigger for to me throughout the years:

• things that cause nausea 
  
• things that cause nightmares
  
• things that cause suicidal thoughts
  
• things that cause me to want to self harm (not even actually do it)
  
• things that cause anxiety (not even strictly attacks)
  
• things that remind me of the depression I’m recovering from
  
• things that cause sensory overload
• things that cause me to lose too much weight
• things that cause migraines

But like… idk, keep harassing mentally ill teenagers for saying something u think is silly triggers them… lmao…
